Concept of the fall – Spiritlessness - Selected Entries - Selected entries2 – Eternity - Eternal Plan - The Trumpet -  where do we go from here. Home page links http://www.godsplan.org.uk/

The last in this series of links on the home page gives every reader hope of salvation (in the Christian religion, deliverance from sin or the consequences of sin through Jesus Christ's death on the cross). Note the links above, and how they follow on from one to another, in sequence; this is planned, not by me, but by the Holy Spirit, giving us all who believe in God, and His only begotten Son; the benefit of coming to an end here on this planet earth, the fallen earth http://www.godsplan.org.uk/

John 3:16-17 (KJV)

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

17 “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm

So it is quite evident (easy or clear to see or understand) that those who wish to be saved, need to believe in Him that sent Him. These words that one reads are not just made up to excite those who are adulterated (to make something less pure by adding inferior or unsuitable elements or substances to it) but unadulterated (free from any element that would spoil or detract from it). I have spent many years reading and searching for the TRUTH trying to find any weak-spots that would allow me to investigate to its negative detriment (damage, harm, or disadvantage) that could be imposed on the Holy Spirit who leads me into all truth.

It all began in the world that then was http://www.godsplan.org.uk/2%20Peter%203.htm in the New Testament, which was revealing to me another world for which I had an unrivalled ignorance; just as many others, including my own family.

As long as those readers only; who believe in God and His word, carry on the understanding of the Companion Bible, by E.W Bullinger. One can carry on from here; study the Bible, and determine where we went wrong for him/herself; that time is now upon us. We are in the time of Revelation 13.  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/revelation_%20revealed.htm  The Empire of the Beast is about to be formed and given power http://www.godsplan.org.uk/persecution.htm

The power is formed in two ways.

1.      First a Regional system is formed. The Last King of the North in the Book of Daniel is formed out of the Empire of the Ten Toes (Europe). That occurs after the weakening and taking over of the US system by its pagan satanic societies. It is headed by the European Union, which was centred on the Club of Rome formed from March 1957. The United Nations is used as the cover for this world governing bureaucracy. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/eviltrilogy.htm

2.      UN institutions have been driving the dishonest debate about climate change. The Australian public have been deceived into debating how to introduce huge non-revenue neutral taxes and regulations that will harm its global competitiveness. It is insanity. The politicians need to be swept from office but the Bible is clear that Satan will affect this system. It will happen in the near future. These “convenient idiots” of the NOW [New World Order] will sell the world into slavery not fully comprehending what it is they do.

The events at the time of the end are the climax of trends that began in the Garden of Eden http://www.godsplan.org.uk/book1.htm. It was there that Satan [Lucifer as he was known then] persuaded Adam and Eve to disobey God’s commands. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/conceptofthefall.htm  At the time of the end, God will draw a clear distinction of people who live by His commandments and those who devise their own religious practices and rules of life under Satan’s influence. When all is said and done, the winners will be “those people who do His commandments” and therefore “have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city [New Jerusalem]” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/christianrace.htm

Revelation 22:14 (KJV) “Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city http://godsplan.org.uk/messianicage.htm  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/kingdom.htm

Let us next put Satan’s determination to destroy God’s people http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Bereshith.htm http://www.godsplan.org.uk/housesofisrael.htm into a larger context.

In a vision the apostle John watched God the Father give Jesus Christ, in the presence of many witnesses, the greater part of the book of Revelation http://www.godsplan.org.uk/revelation_%20revealed.htm http://www.godsplan.org.uk/gentont.htm

It was in the form of a scroll. This scroll contained descriptions of significant events related to Christ’s Second Coming. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/secondadvent.htm.

But it was sealed with seven seals. [Seven (7) Denotes spiritual perfection: It is the number or hallmark of the Holy Spirits work.   http://www.godsplan.org.uk/gifts.htm  He is the Author of God’s Word, and seven is stamped on it as the watermark as seen in the manufacture of paper. He is the Author and giver of life; and seven is the number, which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation, in insects, birds, animals, and man.] Only Jesus Himself was found worthy to break the seals and open it to our understanding.

Revelation 4:5 (KJV) “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God

John had made it clear in Revelation 1:10 (KJV) “I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet that the “Lord’s Dayor Day of the Lord, is the primary subject of these visions from Christ.

They strip off the veil from the Old Testament prophecies that speak of God’s judgement on the nations. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/olivetdiscourse.htm

It is important that you fully understand the relationship of the fifth sixth, and seventh seals.

The fifth seal describes Satan’s war on God’s people, the one-time persecution and martyrdom of many of those who remain faithful to God: “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for [giving] The Word of God and for [giving] the testimony which they held.” And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then; it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed” (Revelation (KJV) 6:9—11). Here is where I have been saying, “that though we die, we are resurrected.” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm  This is where faith and courage, in what you believe comes to the fore.

Jesus Christ described the persecution and martyrdom of His faithful servants at this bloody and dangerous time: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation (great difficulty, affliction, or distress) and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My names sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

Matthew 24: 9—13 (KJV)

09 “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake

10 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another

11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many

12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold

13 “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved http://www.godsplan.org.uk/christianrace.htm

Christ describes this frightening time as one of “great tribulation” (something that causes great difficulty, affliction, or distress, e.g. an ordeal) http://www.godsplan.org.uk/great%20tribulation2.htm an era unparalleled in history. “For then there will be great tribulation, such has not been seen since the beginning of the world until this time, no nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened.

(verses 21—22 KJV)

Christ explains what must happen next, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken,” verse 29 (KJV).

Now notice how this corresponds to the sixth seal in

Revelation 5:12—14 (KJV)

12 “And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood

13 “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind

14 “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places

“And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!” Verses 6:15—16 (KJV)

Revelation 6:15-16 (KJV)

15 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains

16 “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb

The sixth seal announces and introduces the Day of the Lord https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_of_the_Lord#:~:text=%22The%20Day%20of%20the%20Lord,in%20Acts%202%3A20):

Revelation 6:17 (KJV) “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand

The prophet Joel confirms that the time of Great Tribulation and the heavenly signs precede the Day of the Lord http://www.godsplan.org.uk/joel3.htm

Joel 2:31 (KJV) “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come

.

The Day of the Lord arrives

The Day of the Lord is the time of God’s wrath—His judgement on any who have set themselves against Him and His people http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Bereshith.htm and after the Samarian dispersion http://www.godsplan.org.uk/housesofisrael.htm

http://godsplan.org.uk/fulltentribes.htm It is the time of His judgement and punishment of the world for its arrogance and disobedience to His commandments. http://godsplan.org.uk/eternalplan.htm

Notice what happens when Christ opens the next seal; The Seventh:

Revelation 8:1-2 (KJV)

1 “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour

2 “And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets

This is the time written about since the beginning of written prophecy. Luke 21:22 (KJV) “For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled Even the angels in heaven are silent while Jesus Christ breaks the awesome seventh seal. What it reveals is recorded in symbols portraying the major events of the Day of the Lord.

The judgements and punishments of the Day of the Lord are announced by seven angels blowing seven trumpets. The seven trumpets represent the totality of God’s intervention in the affairs of man at the time of the end. Let us briefly look at the nature of the punishments that make up that intervention.

The seven trumpet plagues.

The punishments announced by the first four trumpets devastate the earth’s ecology—mankind’s environmental support system. (Revelation 8:6—12 KJV)

1.      A third of the trees are destroyed in the first trumpet disaster,

2.      A third of oceanic life is destroyed in the second.

3.      A third of the worlds fresh water supply becomes unsuitable in the third disaster,

4.      The atmosphere is polluted and darkened in the fourth trumpet catastrophe

Though many die during these catastrophic events (verse 11), God is impressing on mankind that life on the planet exists at His pleasure. As the apostle Paul told the Athenians:

Acts 17:28 (KJV) “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring

God is reminding the world in the only language everyone can understand that He, the CREATOR OF LIFE {GENESIS KJV], can also take life away.

The calamities of the last three trumpets are then directed specifically towards the inhabitants of the earth, rather than only to their surroundings.

Revelation 8:13 (KJV) “And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”

Now God begins to punish people directly. Under the punishments of the fifth trumpet, men are not killed but tormented for five months.

Revelation 9:5 (KJV) “Their torment was like was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man” https://www.bbka.org.uk/event/asian-hornet-week-2020

The the command is given “to the sixth angelwho had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day, and month, and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million. (Revelation 9:14—16 KJV).

Revelation 9:14-16 (KJV)

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, “Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates

15 “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men

16 “And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them

Though these prophecies are couched in symbolic language (an artificial language using symbols extensively), the astounding number of deaths caused by smoke, fire and brimstone, indicate that the world’s armies will finally unleash their horrifying weapons of mass destruction. God will allow this to happen. Then the massive devastation of human life will begin.

The indescribable carnage from the warfare is part of God’s judgements  on rebellious mankind. Shortly, His angels will release will also release “the seven last plagues” in which “the wrath of God is complet

Revelation 15:1 (KJV) “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God

This time coincides with Christ’s warning that nothing would survive if He did not return.

Matthew 24:22 (KJV) “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened http://www.godsplan.org.uk/secondadvent.htm

A Triumphant Announcement

Finally, the most important event of all occurs at the time the final trumpet is blown.

Revelation 11:15 (KJV) “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever

At that time Christ will “destroy those who destroy the earth” (Verse 18)

Revelation 11:18 (KJV) “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth

This includes that entire system called Babylon the Great, whose satanic roots thread back to the dawn of human history.   http://www.godsplan.org.uk/2%20Peter%203.htm  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/book1.htm

What is the Lord’s Day?

Some people mistakenly assume that, when the apostle John wrote that he “was in the spirit on the Lord’s Day (Revelation 1:10 (KJV), he was worshipping on Sunday and experienced the vision on that day. But nowhere does the Bible define “Lords Day”  as the first day of the week, if this were referring to a day of the week, we would have to conclude that John meant the seventh day, since God calls that day His “holy day…the holy day of the Lord” (Isaiah 58:13 (KJV). Jesus Christ said He was the “Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28 (KJV), not some other day of the week (compare Isaiah 58:13 (KJV). However, the context of John’s vision shows that He was not referring to a day of the week at all. Instead, he wrote that the the vision transported him forward into that time the Bible elsewhere calls the “day of the Lord,” “day of the Lord Jesus Christ” and “day of Christ”  (Jeremiah 46:10; Zephaniah 1:14; Acts 2:20; 1 Corinthians 1:8; 5:5; 2 Corinthians 1:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; 2 Peter 3:10 all KJV).

These terms are not speaking of of a specific 24 hour period. Instead, they refer to the end time events surrounding the return of Jesus Christ, when He will personally and directly intervene in human affairs. Thus these terms indicate the end of the age of Jesus Christ. This is the theme of the book of Revelation and “the Lord’s Day” John saw in a vision.

Revelation 18:21 (KJV) “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.”

John describes Christ’s victory at Jerusalem in the valley of Jehoshaphat http://www.godsplan.org.uk/joel3.htm in the accompanying battle: “Now I saw [in a vision] heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful

and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war…And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war with Him who sat on a horse and against his army.” “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstones. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh” (Revelation 20:11—21 KJV).

Something else must happen before Jesus Christ can begin this earthly reign: Satan must be restrained and removed from his dominance over the world. (But not before he sorts out, which of those who have got through deceptively during the first 1000 years.) “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.”

(Revelation 20:1—2 (KJV). With organised opposition removed, Christ will then begin the work of bringing genuine peace and righteousness to all mankind.

The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ http://www.godsplan.org.uk/secondadvent.htm http://godsplan.org.uk/messianicage.htm

The prophets reveal the exact spot to which the Messiah, God’s anointed King, will return:

Zechariah 14:4 (KJV) “And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, http://www.godsplan.org.uk/olivetdiscourse.htm and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south

Starting with Jerusalem as His capital city, He will expand His reign to the world. Starting with Jerusalem as His capital city, He will expand His reign to the world (verses 9). Once God's Kingdom is established in Jerusalem among the people of Israel, Christ will ask representatives of all nations to come to Jerusalem to learn about His laws. He will summon them to Jerusalem to attend God's annual Feast of Tabernacles:

"And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles" (verse 16;)

Leviticus 23:33-44 (KJV)

33 “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying

34 “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord

35 “On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein

36 “Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein

37 “These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything upon His day”:

38 “Beside the Sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord

39 “Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath

40 “And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days

41 “And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month

42 “Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:”

43 “That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/exodus34.htm

44 “And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord

Not all nations will immediately cooperate. Remember, Satan will have organised these same nations to fight Christ at His return. They will not quickly accept Him even after Satan is bound. Therefore Christ will "judge between the nations, and

Isaiah 2:4 (KJV) “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore

Early in Christ's reign, strong measures will still be necessary to convince most nations that He intends to enforce the laws of God.

How will He make this clear, especially to nations who obstinately refuse to attend the Feast of Tabernacles? His means of communicating His message to them will be straightforward. He will simply demonstrate His control over the natural forces of earth.

Zechariah 14:17 (KJV) "And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain"

The nations will quickly learn that their existence depends on God's blessing. Good weather and bountiful crops are blessings from God. From this time forward only nations that obey God will reap those blessings. All others will not. Such a system will serve as a convincing argument. In time, all nations will respond. Let's now examine some of the specifics of Christ's reign.

Rewarding the saints

From the beginning of Christ’s millennial reign the faithful servants of God—including many who will have suffered severe persecution and martyrdom—will serve as the teachers and administrators of that wonderful world to come. They will assist Jesus in teaching the ways of peace and righteousness to the nations. This will fulfil Christ’s promise to His church.

Revelation 3:21 (KJV) “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne http://www.godsplan.org.uk/christianrace.htm

Daniel 7:27 (KJV) “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him http://www.godsplan.org.uk/state.htm

Christ does not plan to change the world single handed. At His coming His faithful servants will be immediately transformed from flesh and blood into immortal spirit beings who can assist Him. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm Saint Paul explains:

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 (KJV)

50 “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption

51 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,”

52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

53 “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality

These transformed beings will sit with Jesus Christ on His throne. They will serve with Him as teachers and administrators during His millennial reign. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/christianrace.htm

The Restoration of Israel

Long ago God also promised:

Jeremiah 23:5—6 (KJV)

5 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth

6 “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel [Samaria] shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness

The restoration of all the tribes of Israel as one nation under the of the Messiah is foretold again and again in the writings of the prophets, http://godsplan.org.uk/fulltentribes.htm Explanation: Today; Israel is split after the dispersion, and civil war caused by Rehoboam (in the Bible, the son of Solomon and king of ancient Judah [south] (922 B.C - 915 B.C). His reign was marked by conflict with the rival kingdom of the northern tribes of Israel. Jeroboam his brother was king of Samaria in northern Israel  (1 Kings 11-14 (KJV). Through Ezekiel God says:

Ezekiel 37:21—22 {KJV)

21 “And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land

22 “And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.”

And through Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 32:36—39 (KJV)

36 “And now therefore thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence

37 “Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely

38 “And they shall be my people, and I will be their God

39 “And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them

Since Christ will establish Jerusalem as His capital, the first people to experience the effects of His rule will be the restored kingdom of Israel. As their King, He will immediately establish a close working relationship with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them.

Ezekiel 37:26—28 (KJV)

26 “Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore

27 “My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people

28 “And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore

The people of Israel will play a necessary role in helping other nations implement God’s ways. Once God has forgiven their sins, Jesus Christ will begin using a humbled and repentant Israel to spread the knowledge of God’s law to other nations. The whole world will gradually come under the administration of a united code of law, the law of God.

Jesus will coordinate this as He reigns over the nations from Jerusalem. The world will finally learn to obey God’s law.

Israel will help the nations learn Gods ways

Concerning the restored nation of Israel during Christ’s millennial reign, God says:

Jeremiah 33:6—9 (KJV)

6 “Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truthhttp://www.godsplan.org.uk/wearetold.htm

7 “And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the firsthttp://godsplan.org.uk/fulltentribes.htm

8 “And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against Me http://www.godsplan.org.uk/gathering.htm

9 “And it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/blessingsandcursings.htm

As the people of Israel http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Bereshith.htm learn how to follow God’s ways, their example will inspire other nations to seek the same way of life and to want to reap the same blessings: Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and pray before the Lord.

Zechariah 8:22—23 (KJV)

22 “Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord

23 “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.”

Nations will see that keeping God’s law works. Theu will come to Jerusalem to learn how they can apply it in their own lands:

Micah 4:4 (KJV) “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it

Micah 4:2 (KJV) “And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem Eventually:

Isaiah 11:9 (KJV) “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/gathering.htm http://www.godsplan.org.uk/knowledgeandwisdom.htm

The Fruit of right Knowledge

With Jesus Christ as King, Jerusalem will be the centre of learning for the world. God’s Word, the Bible, http://www.godsplan.org.uk/dispensationalplan.htm will provide a solid foundation for the development of education and knowledge.

Isaiah 55:11-- 13 (KJV)

11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it

12 “For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands

13 “Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off

Prosperity will increase while crime and corruption shall cease:

Isaiah 60:17—18 (KJV)

17 “For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors [magistrates] righteousness

18 “Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.”

It takes much more than mere knowledge, however, to produce lasting peace and co-operation. A spiritual change is also necessary. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm It will be that spiritual change in the people of Israel that will inspire other nations to admire their way of life and want to emulate it.

Ezekiel 36:22—27 (KJV)

22 “Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for Mine Holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went

23 “And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, ‘when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.’”

24 “For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land

25 “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you

26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm

27 “And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them

The spiritual restoration of humanity is the most important transformation that will occur during this millennial period when the world is transformed. The Spirit of God will enable people to willingly and enthusiastically obey Him from the heart:

Hebrews 8:10 (KJV) “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; ‘I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people:’” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/housesofisrael.htm

God’s Spirit will phenomenally transform people. Obedience will be widespread; people will exhibit honourable leadership and enjoy a stable society.

Isaiah 1:26 (KJV) “And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city

The changes will be permanent, lasting throughout subsequent generations (coming after in time or sequence):

Isaiah 60:21—22 (KJV)

21 “Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified

22 “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in His time

Spirituality spreads

As people from other nations see what happens in Jerusalem and its environs (surrounding areas), they too will want to serve the living God:

Isaiah 56:6—7 (KJV)

6 “Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of My covenant

7 “Even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.”

Finally the barriers between Israel and other nations will fall. This will occur because all will eventually realise:

Galatians 3:28 (KJV) “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus

As people the world over begin to obey God, first by getting their spiritualties right, they will begin to experience unprecedented (having no earlier parallel or equivalent) physical prosperity:

Amos 9:13—14 (KJV)

13 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt

14 “And I will bring again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them

Isaiah compares this time to a personal feast with the best of everything:

Isaiah 25:6 (KJV) “And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined

Notice this inspiring description of blessings yet to come:

Isaiah 65:21—25 (KJV)

21 “And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them

22 “They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands

23 “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them

24 “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

25 “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.”

Satan’s influence, giving humanity God’s Spirit and teaching the world the laws and ways of God will produce 1000 years of peace and a society blessed beyond its wildest dreams. But, incredible as this sounds, prophecy reveals that an even more amazing period awaits mankind. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/future.htm and the Lion of Judah http://www.godsplan.org.uk/newfuture.htm

Beyond the Millennium

We have seen that Jesus Christ, assisted by His faithful servants, will transform the world after His return to earth  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/secondadvent.htm. But, even after this 1,000 year reign of peace and prosperity, much important work lies ahead. Jesus spoke of a time http://www.godsplan.org.uk/teacher.htm when the people of all nations would gather before Him. Why? So he can “So He can separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides sheep from the goats, or wheat from the tares. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm

Matthew 25:32 (KJV) “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats

Notice the nature and result of this separation:

Matthew 25:33—34 (KJV)

33 “And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left

34 “Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, ‘Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:’”

Matthew 25:41—46 (KJV)

41 “Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels

42 “For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink:”

43 “I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not

44 “Then shall they also answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?’”

45 “Then shall He answer them, saying, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me.’”

46 “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal

How will this happen? Who will be involved in the judgement? Notice how Jesus Christ will perform the process of separating the wicked from the righteous. At the beginning of His reign He begins to judge between the nations, teaching them to turn from evil to righteousness.

Isaiah 2:4 (KJV) “And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore

Satan released for a short time

Also, the apostle John in Revelation describes his vision of the transition to Christ’s reign in which he saw that an angel:

Revelation 20:2—3 (KJV)

2 “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years

3 “And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season

Notice what happens at the end of the Millennium:

Revelation 7—10 (KJV)

07 “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison

08 “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea

09 “And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them

10 “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever

Why would God release Satan to again seduce people after the wonderful 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ? Though no specific explanation is given, a logical reason for this turn of events seems evident. During the Millennium people will have the choice of only one way of life—the way Christ teaches them. Many generations will grow up without being exposed to any other way of life. (Whether they truly believe or not). From the beginning, however, God has always allowed people to choose between good and evil.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live

It would be a mistake to believe that no one resurrected (or born during the Millennium) would ever choose the way of Satan if the opportunity where available. We can see from the events described in Revelation 20 that God will make that choice available to many people who will live during that 1,000 year era. It is also reasonable to believe that some of them will respond to Satan’s intrigue and choose his selfish, rebellious ways over   http://www.godsplan.org.uk/apostasytogodskingdom.htm                           the cooperative and loving ways of God. Suficient numbers of people will make this choice to form a sizeable army.

Revelation 20:9 (KJV) “And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them

God has always tested His people to see what is in their hearts.

Deuteronomy 8:2 (KJV) “And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/exodus34.htm

1 Thessalonians 2:4 (KJV) “But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts http://www.godsplan.org.uk/truth.htm

Hebrews 11:17 (KJV) “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,”  http://www.godsplan.org.uk/faith.htm

We should not assume that those living during the Millennium will be treated any differently. This will be a test that at least some of them will have to face. No doubt all who live during that 1,000 years will have the opportunity to see whether they will be faithful to God and His ways .The only example revealed to us, however, is that God will release Satan for a little while (to test everyone).Once this test is over, Satan will never again be allowed to deceive anyone.

The General Resurrection of the Dead

Now the greatest judgement of all must begin. As we read earlier, At Jesus Christ’s return http://www.godsplan.org.uk/secondadvent.htm only His faithful saints [elect] will be resurrected. Prophecy reveals that:

Revelation 20:5 (KJV) “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection

Another resurrection will take place after the Millennium! The enormity of this resurrection is difficult to convey, and its significance is hard to imagine.

·        What is to happen to the unsaved billions of people who have ever lived?

·        What is this time of judgement all about?

Now is the time for all other people—all those who ever lived from Adam’s time up to the generation living into the Millennium at Christs 2nd advent—to learn the truth of God and enjoy the same opportunity for salvation http://www.godsplan.org.uk/  given to them whom God called during the Millennium.  They will all be raised from the dead with a marvellous opportunity to know God for the first time! First notice the description and setting of this resurrection:

Revelation 20:11 “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them

John, in vision, then witnessed an astounding sight (to overwhelm and stun somebody with sudden surprise).

Revelation 20:12 (KJV) “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

This is the resurrection of the “rest of the dead” mentioned earlier. In his vision John saw them stand before God’s throne. What does this mean? We must let the Bible explain itself. But first we need to understand the implication of certain critical words and expressions.

The word judgement does not have to imply a condemnation to death. It can just as well refer to an acquittal (a judgment given by a court of God’s law, that determines a person should not be punished). Judgement is simply a process to decide who deserves a punishment or reward and who does not. The judgement described in Revelation 20 is just that—a separation of the wicked and the righteous (Wheat or Tares) http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm some will be punished, but many more will have their names entered into the Book of Life.

What are the criteria for this judgement (an accepted standard used in making a decision or judgment about something)? Two factors are involved.

These people are judged “by the things which were written in in the books” and “according to their works”. (verse 12 above). The Greek word translated “books,” biblion, apparently refers here to the books in the Holy Scriptures, The Bible. Those in this resurrection are judged are judged by the Biblical criteria for righteousness. Now, what works of theirs must be judged? This is important to understand.

The reason these people did not appear in the first resurrection is that they were not among the first fruits who were first called, taught the Truth of God http://www.godsplan.org.uk/thetruth.htm and then judged to be worthy of eternal life in that earlier resurrection. God did not choose to call them to salvation in the previous age of man, when Peter spoke of conversion in terms of “as many as the Lord our God will call” Contrary to popular belief.

Acts 2:39 (KJV) “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call

Today is not the only day of salvation: “Now is a day… of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) “ (For he saith, ‘I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)’”

In many cases these people’s past works would count against them. But other passages in the Bible explain that they will not be judged on past performance alone. They will be resurrected and given opportunity and time to repent and demonstrate their willingness to obey God. After all, most of these billions of resurrected men, women. And children will have never known the true God or even heard of Jesus Christ and the Bible. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/dispensationalplan.htm http://www.godsplan.org.uk/lifeofjesus.htm

God’s Judgement is complete

Any time of judgement involves decisions. At the ened of this judgement period God will separate the last of the wicked from the righteous (Wheat and Tares) http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm and destroy the wicked forever.

Revelation 20: 13—15 (KJV)

13 “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”

14 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death

15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Unlike those raised in immortality in the first resurrection (verse 6 1 Corinthians 15:50—53), the people in this resurrection are restored initially to physical, fleshly existence.

Ezekiel 37::4—10 (KJV)

04 “Again he said unto me, ‘Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’”

05 “Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:’”

06 “And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord

07 “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone

08 “And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.”

09 “Then said he unto me, ‘Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.’”

10 “So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army

They are mortal, given temporary life with an opportunity to repent and choose God’s way of life. Those in this resurrection who chose that way and ultimately remain faithful to Him will be given immortal spirit life in God’s family, joining those in the first resurrection. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm Some, however, will still refuse to repent and submit to God. They are subject to ”the second death”

Revelation 21:8 (KJV) “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

This second death will be complete extermination from which no resurrection is possible. As Jesus Himself explained,

Luke 13” 2—5 (KJV)

2 “And Jesus answering said unto them, ‘Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?’”

3 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish

4 “Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem

5 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish

The prophet Malachi explained the finality of this destruction:

Malachi 4:1 (KJV) “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch

Even in this, God is merciful, Rather than allowing time to live on in a life of sin and rebellion that will bring only sorrow and anguish to themselves and those around them, God will simply remove any source of potential suffering. Those who willingly refuse to repent and choose eternal life will be utterly destroyed, reduced to nothing but ashes (verse 3). This is a far more merciful and loving death than that represented by the common misconception of the unrepentant tortured forever in  an ever burning hell.

A New Heaven and a New Earth

John’s vision does not end with the lake of fire. He writes of what follows:

Revelation 21:1 (KJV) “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea

There is no sea because; there is room for more people, the New Heaven will hold more people which are to be looked after by God Himself, and nothing that offends. Psalm 119:165 (KJV) “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them

The last two chapters of the book of Revelation present the vision the apostle John received of a new marvellous renewal of heaven and earth. Who will inherit this “new heaven and new earth”? John quotes God giving the answer:

Revelation 21:7 (KJV) “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My sonhttp://www.godsplan.org.uk/christianrace.htm

Romans 8:17 (KJV) “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together

1 John 3:1—2 (KJV)

1 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not

2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is

These children of God will become like Jesus Christ is today as co-owners of the wonderfully renewed heaven and earth. As the apostle Paul explained, when we inherit all things.

Romans 8:18 (KJV) “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us

This promised inheritance is made possible through Jesus Christ, “for whom are all things” and by whom are all things “who plays a central role 2in bringing many sons to glory.”

Hebrews 2:10 (KJV) “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings

Paul comments on the nature of the glory we are destined to inherit:

1 Corinthians 15:41—44 (KJV)

41 “There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.”

42 “So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in in-corruption

43 “It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power

44 “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body http://www.godsplan.org.uk/internalspirit.htm

The new heaven and new earth will be populated with the children of God who are miraculously changed into immortal spirit beings.

1 Corinthians 15:51—54 (KJV)

51 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; ‘We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,’”

52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

53 “For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality

54 “So when this corruptible shall have put on in-corruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory

image002The Eternal Family of God

The next thing John sees in his vision is a city, New Jerusalem, coming down from heaven as a gift from God. The city is described as:

Revelation 21:2 (KJV) “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband

A description that emphasises the relationship of its inhabitants. It represents the eternal household or community of the children of God. The husband, or bridegroom, is Jesus Christ who is the firstborn among many brethren.”

Matthew 25:1 (KJV) “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom

Romans 8:29 (KJV) “For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren

God the Father Himself dwells among them. This community is God’s family. Paradise regained.

Revelation 21:3 (KJV) “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God

Residents of this city are the true “Israel of God” Galatians 6:16 (KJV) “And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God

Revelation 21:12 (KJV) “And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel

In other words, they are the spiritual descendants of Abraham http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Bereshith.htm “the father of all them that believe”.

Romans 4:11 (KJV) “And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also http://www.godsplan.org.uk/housesofisrael.htm and compare Galatians 3:29 (KJV) “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

Hebrews 11: 8—10 (KJV)

08 “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went

09 “By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise

10 “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God http://www.godsplan.org.uk/faith.htm

The huge dimensions of the city indicate the awesome success Jesus Christ will have in bringing the overwhelming majority of people who have ever lived to repentance and salvation http://www.godsplan.org.uk / “The city is laid out as a square

Revelation 21:16 (KJV) “And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs [1500 miles]. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal

God reveals here that the number of people who will come to repentance and receive eternal life will be like the stars in the heavens and the sand of the seashore—beyond the natural ability of any human being to count them. This is the blessing God promised to Abram.

Genesis 22:17 (KJV) “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies

The vision the apostle John received of this magnificent city provides us with a small illustration of the family God is creating. God dwells in the midst of this city of His immortal, spiritual children.

Another Paradise [or Paradise Regained]

The Biblical account of man begins in the Garden of Eden http://www.godsplan.org.uk/book1.htm  at the head of four rivers. In the midst of the garden God placed the tree of life. And the tree of good and evil.

Genesis 2:8—15 (KJV)

08 “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.””

09 “And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil

10 “And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads

11 “The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold

12 “And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone

13 “And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia

14 “And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates

15 “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it

Satan, the great deceiver, first persuaded Eve to sin, then Adam joined her. As a result of their rebellion against God’s instruction, Adam and Eve chose to partake of the knowledge of good and evil

Genesis 3:1—6 (KJV)

1 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, ‘Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’”

2 “And the woman said unto the serpent, ‘We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:’”

3 “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die

4 “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die

5 “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil

6 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat

The final chapter in the account of human destiny closes with a description of another garden. It surrounds the throne of God from which a river flows with the “water of life

Revelation 22:1—2 (KJV)

1 “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb

2 “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations

The fruit in this paradise good. Revelation 22:3 (KJV) “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him

Revelation 21:4 (KJV) “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away

Ca Sara, Sara, the future is ours to see

Must we remain ignorant of our future? Noe we can see that God provides us a clear picture of our destiny. But the decision is yours. You must choose whether you will turn from the ways of Satan http://www.godsplan.org.uk/system.htm and this present evil world (represented in the Garden of Eden by the tree of knowledge of good and evil) to the righteous ways of God (pictured by the tree of life).

How awesome it is to know the tremendous future God has planned for us! And with that comes the responsibility to choose Him and His ways and to remain committed, considering Jesus’ words in:

Revelation 22:6—7 (KJV)

6 “And He said unto me, ‘These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to shew unto His servants the things which must shortly be done

7 “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this bookhttp://www.godsplan.org.uk/Jerusalem.htm
